Keystone operates 32 interstate highway rest areas maintained in PA. Workers at the sites do perform services ranging from cleaning the inside and outside of the facility to shoveling snow. The rest areas are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is the goal of KBA that travelers visiting these sites will have a pleasant experience.
13 of the rest area sites above are in in northwestern PA under a “Total Property Management” contract, which includes lawn maintenance, snow removal, and other services needed to maintain the facility.
In 2022, Keystone employed 208 individuals who worked over 283,000 hours to keep those sites clean and running to PennDot’s standards.
